I'm worth it....

Recently God has been showing me something and it's been overbearing. Almost to the point where He is sharing a burden with me so that I may feel the urgency of the message. I didn't know how important it was until last night. I couldn't sleep. It was about 1 AM when I kept feeling the same thing.

"You are worth it. And do you want to know why you are worth it? Because you have a heartbeat. The heart that is beating in your chest proves that I have a plan for you. It proves that I have a purpose for you. Jeremiah 29:11 tells you that. No matter what crap you are going through right now, it doesn't matter. BECAUSE YOU ARE WORTH MORE THAN WHAT THE WORLD IS TELLING YOU!!!!"

I grew up in a great home. I grew up knowing that God loved me and he had a plan for my life. But I still have days where I feel worthless. I still have days where I don't feel like I'm doing enough for God. We all have those days. But we have to keep that promise in our heart. The promise that God DOES have plans for us. The reason I feel like God is heavy with this is that the world is overwhelming us with negative images of ourselves.

You have to be a certain size to be pretty. You have to be a certain hair color to be normal. You have to wear a certain brand to be considered popular. You have to lift to be considered strong. We are surrounded by people telling us what we have to look like, what to wear, what to drive, and what to eat to make us feel better about ourselves. Yet we aren't looking to the word!

Bullying is at an all-time high. Our wonderful smartphones are windows into the world of bullying. I have a friend who has an account with Sarrah. This is a free app where you can send messages to a person anonymously. Where this could be a great tool, it's also a tool for the devil. My friend had 10 messages. 9 of them were encouraging, but one wasn't. That one message said that she was so fat that she was messing up the worlds spin and she should probably just kill herself so the world could rotate properly. I was amazed that a 15 year old had to put up with those words.

Guys we aren't fighting hard enough. Satan is just walking all over us. He makes our teenagers feel worthless, our women unimportant, and our men unqualified to lead. This is what we walk through. I just want you to know that you are worth it. You are worth more than the crap that is being put in your head daily.
