Words of Wisdom

I picked up a second book, almost double the size of Lester's book, to have another reference. Of course, that ends up causing some confusion and conflict. Therefore, I'm going to just use Lester's as a main reference and may use some from Commissioned with Power by Gordon Lindsay. Those references will be in bold. All of these things are back by scripture and I would be more than happy to send those to you if you are interested in that.

Let's start with the Revelation Gift - Words of Wisdom. This gift is a supernatural revelation of the divine purposes of God. In this gifting, God gives forth a small segment of information from His vast storehouse of wisdom. It's things from the future, things that haven't happened yet. Gordon spends some time in his books talking about how their are 3 kinds of wisdom. Divine wisdom, human or natural wisdom, and there is the wisdom of Satan.

Divine Wisdom - adopts the best means possible to advance the Kingdom of God.
Natural/Human Wisdom - limited to the interests of this life.
Wisdom of Devils - Wisdom that is employed for distinctly evil purposes.

From what I had gathered with Lester's book is that Words of Wisdom was something that people possess to foresee what will happen in the future that God will bring to pass. NOT FORTUNETELLERS! For every thing that God places in this earth Satan wants to counter it. The Fortunetellers or the horoscopes that you read every day is NOT from God. It's something that is given by Satan.

Yes, I loosely said horoscopes are from Satan. You might say, but Deborah, they are so accurate. Let me blow your mind for a moment. Satan knows the Bible like the back of his hand. He is the ultimate con artist. He is going to always be trying to one up God and blind our eyes to the things of this world. He will do anything to cover up his manipulation to seem innocent.

The Spiritual gifts are used for warfare against the enemy. With this being said, can you give me a good example of how a horoscope would be any good to defeat the enemy? Deuteronomy 4:19 talks about how when we look at the sky that we shouldn't worship the things that are in it. We should look past them to God for your answers. Sorry miniature rabbit trail.

Isaiah 53 is probably one of the greatest prophecies in the bible. It talks about the coming savior. This was a Word of Wisdom spoken through prophecy. The lines do become blurred between those two. The difference between prophecy and Words of Wisdom is this, Prophecy is for the church. It is used for edification, exhortation, and to comfort the church. Words of Wisdom is telling of things to come.

Some examples of people who possessed words of wisdom are Noah, Daniel, Ezekiel, David, Joel, and Isaiah. It is manifested in many different ways. Audible voice, direct intuition, visions and dreams, Prophecy, and studying scriptures. Words of wisdom is the active, supernatural agent by which either natural or spiritual wisdom may be imparted to God's people. We need wisdom in all area's of our life. In every day situations. To make choices that we couldn't make on our own. It has been shown in the bible where God has given natural wisdom to people for things they would never be able to understand. Noah is a prime example of that. God gave him dimensions for an ark that he was to build when no one had even heard of a flood, much less rain.

You can come to your own conclusions on what you feel about each gift. I won't tell you mine. I believe that each person has to come to their own conclusions on this and if we disagree, then we agree to disagree. Again, this is information coming from the books that I have been reading. MINUS the horoscope conversation. The books focuses on fortunetellers and witchcraft. Each denomination and each doctrine is different. We aren't supposed to argue about the doctrine or belief. This is collected information from books I have been reading. I just want to make that statement, again.
