I followed the character 'Oh' for the first 5 minutes of the movie and noticed that he went against the grain. He was COMPLETELY different from every other Boov that was on the screen. Not in appearance but in characteristics. He has this 'bubble' that he uses as a suitcase. All the other Boov have their clothes perfectly placed in the circle. All of them. Every Boov is the same, then you see 'Oh.' His is completely a mess. Things are thrown all over the place and it's twice the size of the others.
All the way through the movie you see characteristics of 'Oh' that are against his species. He friends a human, who are apparently horrible individuals. He runs towards danger. His people think that he is a fugitive. He has a unique password. If you have never seen this movie, you have NO idea what I'm talking about. BUT you will probably remember seeing this picture at one point in your life.
Christians are aliens. We go against what is believed. We go beyond what others tend to. We love those who no one else loves. We think outside the box, we are creative. Steven Furtick spoke yesterday that as Christians, we need to keep it creative. In the first scripture of the bible it says, "In the beginning, God created the Heaven's and the Earth." God created! God was creative. I mean look at all the animals and people in the world and tell me that He wasn't creative. 'Oh' was a perfect example of what God wants us to be. Go against the grain. Love unconditionally. Wave our hands in the air like we just do not care.
God wants us to 'come in to the out.' Step outside of our comfort zone and be outstanding. The more I watch the movie the more I know I need it in my life. Mainly because Joseph loves it, but because I need a constant reminder that I need to be myself and not be afraid of who God created me to be. BE AWESOME!
