Sunday my husband and I visited Elevation Church in Roanoke VA. After what felt like a lifetime on the road, we arrived early. We parked and I attacked the school. I'm sure my husband thought I was completely insane because I looked like a 12 year old girl seeing one direction for the first time. I haven't been so excited for a LONG time.
Upon arrival, we received a paper telling everyone that we were first time guests. I have never been so loved on in a long time. We got inside and sat down. Of course it's in a school so the seats were not fat people friendly. But hey, a church alive is worth the drive and a little discomfort. The countdown began. It was like new years. Then boom, it broke loose.
People hardcore going after it. Dancing and singing. It was like a concert. It was loud. And I mean loud. It was PERFECT. They had their own praise and worship team that totally rocked. Then they tuned in with the main campus. Let me say that this experience is beyond any other church experience I've ever encountered. They had a baptism during the service then a bunch after the service.
I know I have been annoying people about going. And yes, the church isn't for everyone. But I want to challenge that if you don't have a place to call home to go with us one Sunday. We will be going two Sunday's a month. If you want to go, just let us know!!!
