1) They cause Christians to be distracted from obeying the truth of the Gospel.
2) They over place the all of God with their own agenda.
3) They try to control/dominate situations or change the direction of a church.
4) Throw you in a constant state of confusion and discouragement.
5) They spread false reports about spiritual leaders.
I just wish that those troublemakers who want to mutilate you by circumcision would mutilate themselves.
Woah Paul, such graphic display of wording. Loosely translated, I wish those people who are trying to force you into this things would turn their ways to themselves. Or, Do until others as you would want done to yourself. Like I have mentioned before, I don't know the great details of why circumcision was such a huge thing. He mentions in the text that it doesn't matter to God one way or the other. I'm not willing to speak about things that I don't understand so I haven't been taking the scripture apart like I have with the rest. You are more than welcome to read the passage on Bible Gateway that is linked above to see their take on it and come to your own conclusion.
What I wanted to encourage you in today was something that was said to me as the new year approached. Give the 2016 you a pep talk from 2015 you. I was lead to write down 12 things that I had learned in that year as a reminder of what I accomplished. I honestly didn't think that I could do it because I didn't have the best 2015 spiritually. At the start of the blog I assumed that I was just going to list them and leave it at that. However, God has other plans.
With that being said, I'll start mini blogs on all of them tomorrow. Get some time today, alone with God, and write down some very important things that you learned in 2015 that might help you in 2016! Have a blessed and awesome Sunday!!!
