I am whatever you say I am, I'm important.

One of the things I learned from 2015 that I want to carry with me into 2016 is that I am whatever God says I am. I struggle a lot with identity and what defines me. I've always been a heavier gal and I always thought it was my identifier. I always thought that I was the "guys gal pal" heavier chick. Never the girlfriend. But the longer I live, and am out of school, I realize that I was always defined as the Christian. I was very set in my faith and very firm in who I was in that aspect. That's what people remembered me as.

Ever since then, I've always looked at myself as so-n-so's friend, Justin's wife, Joyce's daughter, and near the end of 2015 Joseph's mother. But that's not who I am. Ephesians 2:10 tells you who you are.

For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

The most valuable things in the world.
Painting - Pablo Picaso's Nude Green Leaves and Bust - 106.5 Million Dollars (2010)
Musical Instruments - Guarneri del Gesu violin - 3.9 Million (2007)
Antique - Artemis and the Stag - 28.6 Million (2007)
Car - 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa - 12.2 Million (2009)

To someone in this world these things were a masterpiece. They gave, in my opinion, ridiculous amounts of money for these items. So, what did God give to you for you to be able to be with him? Just his son right? No big deal. STOP. It is a big deal. If you are a parent, or pet owner, you know how much you love your child or pet. Could you imagine how much pain would be involved in giving them up for a sacrifice to save the lives of many?

What I'm getting at is that you are worth FAR MORE than these items above. You are priceless in the eyes of God. He was willing to give up something he loved more than himself to save YOU. That alone should make you feel extremely important. Because of that alone, you should remember that YOU ARE WHAT GOD SAYS YOU ARE, not what the world claims you are. This makes you an important part of God's plan.
I'm doing 3 in 1 blog here. You are what God says you are, You are Important, and you are needed. God has a plan for your life and He needs you to fulfill that purpose to share the word of God. You cant rely on people to be there to lift you up, all you have is God in your corner. I was listening to a service and the pastor was talking about things you need to accomplish the things you really wanted to. You don't need people. You don't need a certain location. You don't need to have all the things you usually think that you need. All you need is willpower. You give the will and God will give the power. If you are willing, God will provide everything else you may need. If God didn't need you, He wouldn't have created you at all. You are here because you are an important part of His plan.

You are IMPORTANT, NEEDED, AND WHAT GOD SAYS YOU ARE!
