I'm confused!!!!

All the faith that he had had had had no effect on the outcome of his life.

How many times did you read that sentence? After reading it 4 times I gave up trying to understand it. Not only is it confusing but a little discouraging as a Christian. Think about it. If the faith this person, whoever it may be, had no effect on the outcome of his life then whats the point of having faith?

That sentence is a representation of something a false teacher/prophet might say. I'm not saying that she/he would use that specific sentence but Galatians 5:10 says this:

I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion, whoever that may be, will have to pay the penalty.

False teachers/prophets will spend time throwing a bunch of things at you making you confused. I was watching some online sermons yesterday and Steven Furtick was talking about Adam and Eve and the garden of Eden. I had already used that story to explain one of my points however I want to use it again, in a little more depth.

When Satan approached Eve in the garden he said to her, "Did God REALLY say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?" (Genesis 3:1) He questioned Eve about what God had said. She replied, "Of course we may eat the fruit from the trees in the garden." She goes on to tell him that God told her that she was not to eat the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden or she would surly die. Satan wasn't having her believe that so he used his words to twist what God had said. He started to confuse her, causing doubt, and then she was confused about what God really meant.

God's word warns us in Galatians that false teachers/prophets will be the same way. Like I had mentioned before Satan will use anyone he can get his hands on to take out the "christian race." Like I have said all along, we have to really know the word of God so we know that we know that we know that we know what it says. The one who is throwing you into confusion will have to pay the penalty.

Those who are falsely preaching or teaching God's people, will be punished. There will be a penalty for their empty promises and discord. We aren't going to see it because we won't be standing behind them in line on judgement day. My old teacher, David Hasz, used to tell us all the time, "I would love to be behind them on judgement day." I catch myself saying this all the time but I can't just chill in line all day and watch all these people 'get what they deserve.' BUT that's not a great attitude to have is it?

Make sure the teachings that you are listening to aren't causing confusion or discouragement in your own life. If it is you might want to check the source! Using the picture above, if any of those words describe what you are feeling after a sermon or message from someone. CHECK YOUR SOURCE!!! Have a blessed day!!!
