How to spot a wolf.

This morning as I was scrolling through my news feed on facebook I came across a sponsored add from an individual claiming to have a prophetic word. I didn't shy away because of the phrase because I use the terminology myself. There is a lot of issues with that with some people that I know but that's okay. Anyway, I was thrown off because of what I saw.

The individual had dyed hair.... pink and white..... also not why I pushed away from it. There are great leaders who I know that have dyed hair and it doesn't bother me a bit. What threw me for a loop was the fact that the individual was a male and had his nails done pink. And was wearing girls clothing. I try not to judge but my spirit flipped and flopped. Now do I know that this individual is false? No I don't and I'm not going to say that he is because I don't know them. Plus it's not my job to judge people.

What hit me was this. How will I know if there is a wolf in with the sheep. Recently our Pastor has been doing a study on eldership in the church. The purpose of having elders and the reasons that they are so important. I thought about Jesus and how he knew who the wolves were and how he could spot them in a crowd. How did Jesus know? How are we supposed to know?

First, Jesus had a thing called discernment. Call it a gut feeling. Call it intuition. Call it what you like but Jesus could sense that there was a wolf around when he was with his 'sheep.' It's so funny that we use these phrases and people in the world look at us like we are insane. STOP DEB! Onward and upward. Jesus walked with the Holy Spirit and in communion with the Heavenly Father. Jesus had a serious relationship with the Father and the Holy Spirit would communicate with him about his Fathers business.

Obviously if we have a relationship with God then we will also have this. I'm not saying that you will walk into a room and see who the problem is and instantly arise saying, "get away thus sayeth the Lord." (Totally been reading KJV lately y'all.) I can say this because I feel like there are times where I have a pretty good relationship with God and still fail to see things that I should have picked up on. Satan is sooooooo crafty and soooooo good at being a turd.

He uses soo many different people in so many different ways. He can used those closest to you and he can also use those who are Christian. You will honestly be blindsided more than once in your life. If you want to be able to see a wolf walking in the midst, you have to be close to the Father. You have to be spend time with him and be about his business. That is all. Carry on my friends. Carry on!
