That's a mouth full. recently God has been trying to show me the power of being intentional and relational. How important it is for people when you take the time to say hello. Or make a simple connection with them. If you go out of your way to connect with them.
A few Sunday's ago I went off the platform when we did meet and greet and went into the congregation and talked with the people. Saying hi. I was surprised how wonderful it made me feel to connect with people on a personable level. Sometimes we are so disconnected. Not only has God be working on my one on one relational self. But my limitations. I recently talked about my 'social media' wasted hours. I put a block on my use on my phone.
After a certain amount of time, my phone asks me if I really want to be on the apps that I have limited. I'm finding out how being more connected on my social media was robbing me of the relationships I needed. I would see things from people and knew about their lives. But there was something lacking.
When you reach out to people, really reach out to people, it means more. I can easily comment or like a status, but having the one on one conversation with someone is so much more effective, at least I think so.
I mean, Jesus would take the time to talk to people. Talk to the people that no one else wanted to talk to. To heal the people that may not seem worthy of it. He loved people where they were, for who they were, and not what they posted or claimed to be. You can hide behind a screen on facebook, but you can't hide in the face of God. He can see right through you. That's what is so awesome about Jesus. He knows.
Even if people view you one way, God knows your heart. God knows who you REALLY are. We have to spend more time trying to intentionally relate to other people. The good. The bad. The ugly. Healing, reaching, and just being with other people. People aren't as bad as we make them out to be. Take a chance and connect with someone.... REALLY want to know how they are doing. Text someone you haven't talked to in a while. It won't kill ya!
Good Night everyone!
