Hey God.
Sometimes I fall short and fail a little bit. And I know that you still love me. I know that I might not do exactly what you want me to do, and yet, you still keep me on the path that you have for me. I know that your love covers a multitude of sins. (1 Peter 4:8) I'm so thankful that there are people who I can disagree with but still love. We aren't perfect people and have things we don't agree on. And I know that's okay. I also know that your word tells me that I need to make sure that I don't spread discord or division when we do disagree. (Proverbs 6:19) Thank you for loving me despite all these things.
Thank you for the people that I have in my life. Those who lift me up and those who tear me down. Thank you for the people who love me and see you in me. Those are the people I want to keep close in my circle. May the words that come from my mouth lift others up and not tear them down. For I know that your word tells us that we need to be careful of our tongue because there is life and death in it. (Proverbs 18:21) For those who tear me down, may I remember the words from John 16:33, that you have overcome the world. For those who are in the world who hate me because I follow your word, I have to remember that they hated you too. (John 15:18-25)
May I always be willing to be obedient to your direction. (Deu 11:1) May I be able to see your will above my selfish ambition or desire. May I continually put to death my fleshly self and follow you. (Luke 9:23) May I be constantly finding ways to expand my knowledge of you and never become full or content with where I am. May I remain humble. May I always be a servant and never lose my heart and passion for following you.
Please be close to those I love dearly. Those who are following you and those who are not. For those who are following you, may they continue to love you and follow you. For those not following you, may they find you. I know that sometimes it takes someone else to help grow a seed that has been planted. I pray for the seeds that have been planted in people. May they grow. May they flourish. May there be a harvest.
May we as Christians, always want to be about people. May we always want to know them. Not just of them but make them feel valued. May we always be seeking you first and your will. May we be able to know when seasons are changing. May we be able to be obedient in the hard times. Please help us God. We know you are with us. Please be with us through all things.
And all God's children said Amen.
