A new day dawning

Dear God,

Be with all who read this today. Or whenever they read it. May they be filled with peace that passes understanding. May their hearts be filled with the love of Christ and their spirit be renewed with the passion to spread the gospel. I love the words in 2 Timothy.

But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion's mouth. (4:17)

When the day comes to a close may we always have one desire. To spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to other people. No matter our differences. No matter our hurts. No matter our hangups. May we be able to find courage and strength in Christ. Many things will come against us.

As your servant mentioned yesterday to a body of believers, "We will be mocked. We will be torn down. We will be persecuted." We want to be like Christ. At least I do, but I tend to forget those things as well. I forget that Christ was bruised and beaten. I forget that he was mocked and spit on. Persecuted. Chastised. I forget that those things come too. Until I'm dealing with them myself.

Heal your land father. Heal hearts. Heal minds. Heal bruises that aren't seen on the outside.
