#Challenge

After a long discussion with some outstanding women, my insides burned to do something. I had a go-getter attitude and was full throttle. This morning was the same thing. This evening. I crashed. I was angry and overwhelmed. I didn't want to deal with anything. Then the great words of Dave Cash sounded in my head.

"Deborah, people are dying and going to hell. What are you doing about it?"

So, here we are. Social Media. Instant access to many people within seconds. We instantly are connected with people when we pick up our phones. We can text, and get an instant response. We can email and have a response within a few days. The amount of 'I want it now'  attitude that we have is disgusting. And yet here we are.

I was talking with the group of ladies about the book of Ephesians. About how it was a letter to a group of churches. They waited a long time to hear from the apostle Paul. It wasn't an instant thing. Paul didn't get to text them and say, "Hey I just wanted to check in with you guys and see how things were." It wasn't like that. They had to WAIT. It's like we don't have that anymore. Unfortunately, we don't use this instant connection device that we have.

We can sit and watch endless amounts of police departments doing lip sync battles. But we can't quote scripture in context.
We can sit and do a water bucket challenge and give money a foundation. But never give our 10% at church for tithe.
We can challenge people to get a video to go viral. But we aren't willing to speak the words of truth because we don't want to hurt someone's feelings.
We want everyone to know our struggles but we aren't willing to pray for someone else.

Do you see where I'm going here? We aren't willing to step up to the plate and take a stance against the world. These people eat tide pods and we are afraid of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. What is wrong with us?! Why aren't we challenging Pastors to preach more than 2 scriptures in a sermon? Or have prayer rooms open at our church. Why aren't we doing these things? Have we become so fearful of what mortal man can do? Because we shouldn't be. Let's start standing up and challenging fellow Christians with things. Don't make social media about these 'challenges' and actually push fellow believers in their walk.

Start fighting. It's time!
