Are you Righteous or Lukewarm?

I'm in a world of trouble for not getting this out until today. I've been sitting on it for 4 days now. Oppps. Here's what happened. I allowed someone to get in my head and make me feel like I was unqualified and not worth what I have been doing in life. I allowed someone to speak louder than my God who told me I was marked for greatness. I allowed a PERSON to overrule my God-sized anointing. I'll let that one sink if for you.

So, my favorite story. If you know me at all you have already said it. But quickly let me just say that I love the fact that stories in the Bible never get old. They allow us to learn new things in new seasons. If you have read the Bible through, read it again. Turn to Genesis 6 and let me just jump right in. So the story of Noah. My main man. My favorite Bible story. Jump to very 8 and 9.

(NIV) But Noah found favor (Grace in the KJV) in the eyes of the Lord. This is the account of Noah. Noah was a RIGHTEOUS MAN, BLAMELESS (perfect in KJV) among the people of his time and he walked with God.

Noah found favor or grace in the eyes of the Lord. During this time the world was pretty crappy. God had decided that he was going to take out the naughty monkies and start over basically. He was calling on Noah to build an ark. The next verse is what I really want to focus on though. The fact that Noah was righteous and blameless. That's pretty big. I know that for a lot of you, you might be thinking. So what. Noah was righteous. He didn't die during the flood. But you are missing the BIG picture here.

The story of Noah is a pivotal one. At least for me. So here we have Noah, hanging out and God is like, "Hey so the world is pretty crappy right now. I'm gonna start over but I want your family to be the start of it. You're gonna build a boat and it's gonna rain." I've heard many different things about this story and I don't have time to research them RIGHT THIS SECOND. I have heard that the people never saw rain and didn't know what in the world Noah was doing. Building this thing for something that they had never seen before. It's almost like if God gives you something that someone has never done before and you are a little freaked out because it seems completely impossible.

Ahhh. I'm getting ahead of myself. Noah was Righteous and Blameless. He wasn't picked up randomly by God. He was following and walking with God before God called him to do this amazing thing. You can be marked for great things before your salvation. But they won't flourish or become known to you until you are ready. Listen. If you aren't following God with your whole heart, and you are just winging it. You aren't really a Christian, are you? Revelation tells us that if we are lukewarm we will get spit out. Gross. But think about it. If you aren't following God FULLY, what are you doing?
