You know me.

This morning as I was getting ready for work I was watching facebook videos. Such a life suck. I came across an Ellen Degeneres video. Now, I don't agree with homosexuality but I cannot ignore the fact that this woman gives back a lot to this world. Anyway, it was her birthday and her wife gave her an amazingly thoughtful gift. She thought back to when they had started their relationship and it was conversations they had.

As weird as it is to use that as a starter for a blog, I can't help but think about how the thought process was of this woman to compile a gift like this. It made me think if I really knew my spouse at all. What would he like? What would he want to do to change the world? What are his desires? Not just my husband, but my friends. In the world that we are living in now, there is so much LACK of connection. We send a text and don't spend time together. We say, let's get together, but we are to busy.

Ironically I wonder if I know God like that. Do I REALLY have a personal relationship with God like I think I do? Do I know the heart of God like that? Do I know the things that make his heart break? With this whole study of being Radical, I just sit and wonder if I really do. You know God knows us like that!

In Psalm 139 it talks about the intimate detail of how he knew us before we were on this earth. This intense love story about how God created you. How he picked details of your whole existence before you were birthed. He spends time watching you. He loves you so much. He could create the most amazing gift for you right now without a second thought because HE KNOWS YOU! But do you know him?
