When Satan divides

In my life I have always been brought back to 2 specific portions of scripture. The Valley of Dry Bones (Ezekiel 37) and Division in the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12). Over the past 48 hours God has laid division on my heart very strongly. We are living in a world that is divided. Why? Because Satan's job is to steal, kill, and destroy. (John 10:10) I tell you this, from experience, Division is the root of Death and Destruction in the Body of Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:14 Talks about how there is different parts of the body. When I read that I take it different ways. There are people who serve, they are the hands. There are councilors, they are the ears. There are evangelists, they are the feet. There are pastors, they are the mouth piece. One part cannot say to the other that they are not important. Each part of the body is important. I also see it as denominations.  (STOLE SOME OF THIS FROM MY HUSBAND)

We live in an era where people are different. News Flash. We're not all the same. Some people worship through Hymns, some through their own song, some through lifting hands, some through dancing. Some stand at attention during worship, but I like to move. We need all these denominations to reach the masses. The reason I say that is because some people need that dramatic outpouring of worship, some need hard hitting truth and not fluff, some need a silent sermon that penetrates their spirit. Every person is different.

What I'm getting at is there is so much division in the world right now. Black and White. Female and Male. Democrats and Republicans. These divisions are actually penetrating the Body of Christ. The ONE place where we are supposed to be unified! But this division is not coming through the simple divisions of Black and White, Democrat and Republican. It's much deeper!

If you were to sit in a service and overhear a person talking about another member and how much you can't stand them. What kind of form of unity are we portraying? Or how we don't respect them because of their position. How much division is that going to cause. Not just division, but it will cause a lack of respect for that church. Let me tell you another News Flash, the church is FILLED with hypocrites. If a person is in a position of leadership, RESPECT THAT. If you wouldn't say something in front of the person, DON'T SAY IT.  This is where the start of division and destruction starts.

1 Corinthians 12:18 - But our bodies have MANY PARTS, and GOD has put each part where HE WANTS IT! (CAPS FOR EMPHASIS BY DEBORAH)

Why is it that the most back bitting I see is in the church? Because we deal with humans who are flawed. However we don't listen to God's word when He tells us CLEARLY in 1 Corinthians 12:18 that God places each part where He wants it? So, why do we childishly joke about other denominations? Why do we laugh at another persons form of worship? Why do we limit God's ability to be God?

I don't understand why, or how, Christians allow this type of division to be okay! I have always tried my best to respect each church I have attended. I have tried my best to not talk about people behind their back. Yes, it has happened. I'm human, I'm flawed. I'm tired of it though. I'm tired of the lack of respect for what GOD has put into place. Who GOD has put into positions of leadership. How people poke fun at other denominations and ways of worship. Can you see where I see more division that unity?

Our underlying point should be that God is God. God is Love. God sent Jesus to suffer for our sins. Why does everything else have to be so screwed up? Someone help me out here?! Why are we allowing this division to penetrate our Faith?
