One Phrase.

I had a friend who was very cut throat, to the point, and bold. I always aspire to be just like him. He used to greet me in the most amazing way. Not hello. Not hi. Not hola. No happy greeting. He would always start our conversation out by asking me what I did for God that day to change the life of someone else. One night at band practice, I dodged him because I didn't want to speak to him. I was in a bad mood. I didn't want to be hounded about what I was or wasn't doing to advance the kingdom of God.

It was a great attempt, but a fail. Finally when he sensed my 'bad attitude' he grabbed me and looked me dead in the eyes and said,

"Deborah. People are dying and going to hell. What are you doing about it?"

When I feel bad. I try to remember that there is someone out there that is much worse off than I am. When I feel unmotivated. I remember that someone could have died in that instant that I could have changed their life. I try to take every opportunity that I have to witness to someone. Not beat Jesus into them. But witness.

There is a line that we tend to cross as christians between witnessing and beating Jesus into someone. I tend to beat someone when I know they once believed. I have little mercy in my bones. It's terrible. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. There is no fool me thrice. There is a dead friendship. My heart tends to harden and I walk away. But you know that's not what God wants us to do. Look at how merciful Jesus was.

I could go 100 directions from this point. But I'm going to cut it short. Leave it here. End. I will leave you with this....

People are dying and going to hell..... what are you doing today to change the life of someone else? What are you going to do that God has been telling you to do to move foward in your walk with Christ? Like Nike says,
JUST DO IT!
