After birth

Stop right there, not the gross stuff. We've all heard the phrase that the birthing process is hard. If you are referring to the literal act or using Christian lingo. Birthing anything is hard. But I have learned the most amazing thing in the past 7 months of being a real life mommy.

"You are gifted and equip to do whatever God calls you to do."

I've been around children for the past 15 years and assisted caring for them. The moment I found out I was pregnant I flipped out. I couldn't be a mommy. I wasn't capable. My favorite part of my day was giving the kids back. God had to be kidding me. I was completely in doubt. This was completely insane. I used multiple bad words. Then we went through pregnancy. That was a fun experience. Then taking this thing home. I was completely in shock. Deprived of sleep and knowledge. I googled EVERYTHING!

What I found out was that I knew what was best for Joseph and myself. Thankfully I had a husband who was supportive of any decision that I made. Anyone that wanted to look down on me for my decisions could suck an egg. If God hadn't felt like I was equip to raise a child then he wouldn't have blessed me with the gift. I still have days where I feel like I'm incapable of being a good mom. I'm just no better than the next person.

A lot of people might feel like hat when they are called into ministry. When God shows them all the things he has planned for them they might freak out and instantly assume they aren't worthy. News flash, we aren't!!! Good news, He chose you. If He didn't think you were capable, you wouldn't have been called. Plain and simple. You are called. You are important.

The after birth was, for me, the realization that you CAN do it. It's realizing that you are able to do it through a lot of assistance and guidance from God. You are worthy of doing great things. God wants to use you to do some amazing things. We can't spend our life thinking we can't do what God is calling us to do.

IF YOU WERE NOT CAPABLE
YOU WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN CALLED!
