The Spirit of Christmas Future.

The CREEPIEST spirit by far but most comforting. This spirit shows Scrooge what COULD be. The things he shows him aren't set in stone. It's things that can be changed by his reaction to the experience. If we look into the future of our own lives it might seem that there are lots of unknowns. Lots of things that we don't know. Well, Duh. We don't know the future. If God told us everything we were going to experience we wouldn't believe him.

This spirit kind of reminds me of Satan. He shows Scrooge so many negative things. Tiny Tim's death, his death, how people despise him still, the dark side of the future if you will. (NOT A STAR WARS REFERENCE) There is no bright colors. There is no happiness. No joy. He shows Scrooge a "Debbie downer" future.

Satan loves painting pictures of negativity. He shows us everything that could go wrong. Everything that will go wrong. He wants us to give in to the mindset that everything is going to go the worst possible way. When we get into that cycle, it's hard to get out of it. I struggle with it daily. I look at God and say, LOOK AT WHERE I AM. I CAN'T SEE A WAY OUT. Instead of saying to my problems, Look what my God can do. He will make a way when there is no way.

The future is unknown by us, but known by God. He sets a way for us when we think there is no way. When looking into the future, don't look at it as a bad experience. Think about the fact that YOU can change the outcome by your attitude. What attitude you have going in will determine the outcome you see. Remember that as you go into Christmas! If you go into Christmas with a bad attitude (You're a mean one, Mr Grinch) then what comes out of it isn't going to be pretty!!!
