I just finished up a live video on the wonderful world of bookface. As I'm getting older, I'm thinking more about my life after death. My perspective has changed dramatically about my time I have here on earth. I'm more concerned about my purpose now than I was 10 years ago. Honestly 10 years ago I was only concerned about turning 21 so I could legally drink. #Goals
I'm more focused on what I can do with my time here to prepared my life after death. I'm less concerned about the desires of my flesh and more concerned about showing others Christ through my actions. I'm learning. I'm not perfect and I'm doing pretty crappy, but I'm working on it. I decided that I was going to have a work for 2017 like I did for 2016.
I stole Elevations for 2016 and went with Crossover. It was the year of drawing a line and jumping over it. I went through a personal struggle last year at this time and I was done. Obviously, the issue will always live within me, but I'm over it. That's what Pastor Steven Furtick was saying at his new year sermon. I'M OVER IT! And I was. Now we're on the back door of 2017 and about to bust down the door. I'm so excited about my goals for the new year. Not just for me but my life in ministry.
With that. I give you my word for 2017. EXPAND!
New Life's 'launch' date is January 8th. That's going to be our 'birthday' if you will. I'm praying that God will expand our ministry drastically. Not just in numbers but knowledge, wisdom, grace, and love. We have that feel of a family right now and I hope that doesn't go away as we expand. Expansion for myself. Going outside of my comfort zone and experience what God needs me to to be able to do ministry. If that's writing more, writing less, creating music, attending school. Whatever, I'm game.
Have you guys made your #goals for the new year?
My biggest one would be to think more about eternity instead of the temporary moment I'm living in.
