Welcome to 2016. Last night, I didn't make it. I started watching praise party at Elevation Church and passed out right after a critical moment that I desperately needed. But that's another blog, another day. Today I want to talk about judgement. I always said in school I wanted to be a singing judge in a television show. Of course, dreams aren't reality since I'm sitting here watching smut TV and on my second load of laundry for the day.
If you have ever walked into a church, I want to publicly apologize if you have been judged in any way shape or form. I know that I have been through a lot of judgement from religious people it drives me insane. It's like I'm instantly seen with my tattoos, colored hair, facial piercings and boom I'm a bad person. If you walk into a church and you are a single mother unwed mother, sometimes that instantly carries a stigma. I'm very sorry from the bottom of my heart.
I've been watching a certain pastor online on youtube. I glanced over a video that listed "false teachers". I instantly went to God's word to see what it said about False Prophets and False teachings. I didn't see any correlation with this specific pastor or any of the other pastors they were calling out. False teachings are confusing and discouraging. I have NOT seen anything other than encouragement and uplifting messages from all these pastors.
I think the main reason that the world looks at pastors and judges them is because if they are significantly blessed. If a Pastor has a 500,000 house, they are taking funds from the church, If they have nice cars or nice clothes, they are falsely teachers. If they are extremely passionate about their teachings, they are to this or that. What I'm getting at is that the world looks from the outside in and instantly raises judgement on someone. Satan does that to create division and separation from people getting involved in church.
The world, (Satan), looks into the church and judges Christians. I always hear that Church people are the most judgmental people the world has ever met. That may be true but that's not every church is like that. Sadly, the one thing that keeps people away from the church is the one thing that they are doing. I'm not saying that Christians aren't judgmental. We tend to spend to much time throwing fact and scripture at people than actually attempting to get to know the person and the context of their life.
They say that you can't understand where someone is in life until you have walked a mile in their shoes. If you have never struggled with porn addiction, you can't speak to someone about that because you have NO idea what they are going through. There is just way to judgment on both sides of the fence. I've always thought make sure you see how many fingers are pointing back at you when you point your own finger.
