I saw this picture this morning and instantly knew I needed to write this. I have seen a lot of people posting very little Christmas pictures because they decided to spend time with their families. They spent their day without technology. I thought about how my childhood was like without the source of technology. I thought about how many things children these days are missing out on when they have their face stuck to a screen.
So I want to challenge each and everyone (Myself included) to take a day without facebook. Or even a day without your phone. I'm going to attempt to keep mine out of my hands once Justin and I are together. I don't want our relationship to be us in a room on our phones. It seems so easy and simple, but it's difficult.
We have to take a look at the things that are important in our lives. What is worth risking for your "smart phone?" Is there a status that can't wait one minute? This picture explains it all. Toby Mac has a song that says, "I don't wanna gain the whole world and lose my soul." I'm afraid that the more and more we are connected to social media, google, CNN, NBC News etc the more of ourselves we will lose in the process.
